Project files of construction, alteration and renovation projects managed by the Public Facilities Department (Property Management)/Capital Construction of city-owned buildings including schools, libraries, fire stations, police stations, municipal buildings, and Boston City Hospital. Records include contracts, plans, correspondence, memoranda, and photographs.

Records from the suit brought by the City of Boston against manufacturers of materials containing asbestos for reimbursement for the cost of abatement of the asbestos in public buildings. Includes contracts of city-owned buildings from 1923-1971 that were used as exhibits in the case. Buildings include schools, libraries, fire stations, police stations, city hospital, etc. Also includes records from the case itself.

Includes select contracts retained for historical purposes. Includes contracts for school buildings, public works and other significant projects.

This series consists of a set of bound volumes of contracts and specifications for school buildings, 1902-1938 with gaps. The set is numbered volumes I-XVLI. Volumes VI, VII and X are missing.

Includes copies of the annual reports of the Schoolhouse Department/Department of School Buildings for the years 1901-1915, 1918-1919, 1921, 1925, 1928, 1934-1935, 1943-1946, 1948-1949, 1951, and 1963-1965. Annual reports can also be found in the City Documents series.

Collection of photographs of Boston Public School buildings. Most photographs show exterior views of buildings. A small number include interior views.
