Historical note
The Employment and Economic Policy Administration, created in 1977 by Mayor Kevin H. White, assumed responsibility for all federal grants received by the city for direct employment and job training. The EEPA administered the Comprehensive Employment & Training Act of 1974 (CETA). In early 1982, EEPA merged with the Neighborhood Development Agency (NDA) and became the Neighborhood Development and Employment Agency (NDEA).
