Adams, Mabel Ellery, 1865-1935

This series consists of over six hundred photographs that range in date from 1869-1995, providing a continuous visual record of the school’s activities. Photographs include numerous classroom scenes, group photographs in front of the school, class pictures of graduating students, school festivities and alumni. There are also a few images of public events outside the school, such as conventions and City of Boston events.

The Horace Mann School for the Deaf records range in date from 1847-1995, with the bulk of the dates ranging from 1870-1994. The records have been arranged into six series: Series I – Administrative; Series II – Sarah Fuller; Series III – Memorabilia; Series IV – Boston Educational Association for Deaf Children; Series V – Reference Files; Series VI – Photographs.
